The Royals signed Jason Kendall, which prompted this reaction from me: "Cool, he's only a year or two past his prime." Of course looking at his stats (and realizing that he was not with the Pirates last year, but the Brewers) proved me wrong.

The article is funny (which the Onion usually is) but it's also sad. I look forward to the day when this type of joke won't work with the Royals as the punchline.
