Jake Peavy has exercised his no trade clause and will not be headed to the White Sox. This is great news for the Royals (and the rest of the AL Central). The Royals and White Sox face each other seven more times. Had Peavy gone to Chi City he would only have pitched against KC a couple of times. Even so it's nice that he won't be mucking things up for the Royals and bringing 10 wins to a rival.
On an unrelated note: Diamondback pitcher Clay Zavada has the greatest moustache in sports (active player). I am a fan of interesting facial hair and as a result greatly appreciate Clay channeling Rollie Fingers, who owns not only one of the all time great 'staches, but also one of the greatest names in sports. I think this is something the Royals should pick up on. Can you imagine Billy Butler with a handle bar moustache? No one would be able to pitch to him without cracking up.
